1. SET YOUR INTENTION
Cacao ceremonies are becoming increasingly popular as a way to connect with one's inner self, release negative emotions, and tap into a higher consciousness. However, to fully experience the benefits of a cacao ceremony, it is essential to take the time to set intentions beforehand.
What is intention setting?
Intention setting before a cacao ceremony is an essential part of the process because it helps you to focus your mind and energies on what you want to achieve and to get the most out of the ceremony. By reflecting on your current state of mind and writing down specific, positive intentions, you can tap into the full power of the cacao and manifest your desires. setting is the process of clarifying what you want to achieve or experience during a cacao ceremony. It is a form of manifestation and can be seen as planting a seed in your mind that you want to grow during the ceremony. By focusing on your intentions, you can create a clear path for the cacao to guide you towards what you desire.
Why is it important?
Intention setting is important because it helps you to focus your mind and energies on what you want to achieve during the ceremony. Without a clear intention, your mind may wander, and you may not experience the full benefits of the cacao. Having a clear intention also helps you to get the most out of the ceremony by aligning your thoughts and emotions with your goals.
2. pREP YOUR SHELL
The use of coconut shells as a container for consuming beverages has a long and rich history dating back to ancient civilizations in the Pacific islands. Today, coconut shells are being rediscovered as a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional drinking containers. Our hand-crafted all-natural coconut shell is perfect for ceremonial drinks and decorative purposes.
KavaCao partners with global suppliers to customize only the highest quality coconut shell. Please make sure to wash your shell with warm water after every use. Never place in a dishwasher.
3. Prep YOUR LIQUID
We recommend using warm milk as your base liquid. Any dairy or non-dairy variation is suitable. While water or other liquids will work, we suggest only using liquids that traditionally taste good with chocolate… like coffee.
Using the viscosity meter below, determine the type of ‘body’ you’d like for your drink.
Measure the required amount of liquid, 5-8 ounces is recommended.
Using a heat-safe container, warm the milk to 170 degrees F. (76 degrees C.) This should take about 30-45 seconds in a microwave and about 2 minutes on a heated stovetop. Do NOT boil the liquid as it will eliminate nutritional value from the cacao.
Pour the heated liquid into your coconut shell
Allow the liquid to sit for about :20-:30 before adding the KavaCao
4. EMULSIFY
To mix a perfectly velvety shell of KavaCao, we recommend using a mini-emulsifier (included in the KavaCao kit). Using this tool to blend your dry and wet ingredients will ensure the right consistency and will "wake up" the active ingredients in the kava.
Pour one heaping scoop of KavaCao on top of the heated liquid inside the coconut shell
Using a stirrer, push down on the mixture to submerge the dry clumps
Allow the cacao to "rest" in the liquid undisrupted for :20-:30sec. This will allow the cacao to soften and melt.
Blend the mixture for :45-:60sec. Make sure to gently move around the shell to evenly blend all ingredients.
Some froth may occur during the blending process which is normal. Allow the final shell to rest :15-:20sec before enjoying.
